The Ford Police Interceptor has unique equipment to aid officers in conducting their business efficiently. The Ford Interceptor promotes an external oil-to-coolant heat exchanger to help reduce engine oil temperatures to help the vehicles idle for extended lengths of time without overheating, a unique 140 MPH speedometer, and front seat steel “stab plates” built into the seat backing for suspect transportation protection.
